The Mayan culture.

The Maya were one of the most brilliant and powerful cultures of Mesoamerica...
Their civilization lasted for over three thousand years. They dominated a written language, were skilled architects, risky traders and talented artists.
The Mayan civilization spread through southern Yucatan, Guatemala and Honduras from between the ages III y XV.
The Mayans were not a unified state but were organized into several independent city-states each controlling a fairly wide territory. Neither spoke a single language.
The Mayans lived in a civilization that developed a culture that flourished in what is now Guatemala, Belize and parts of Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador. While Europeans were living in a time of darkness. The Mayans survived six times longer than the Roman Empire, and built more cities than the ancient Egyptians.
